This is a one-of-kind sturdy wire sculpture with great attention to detail.
At 27”x15” it makes an impressive collector’s item not seen anywhere else.
The shape is classic American V-Twin cruiser but the construction is like no other.
There are no solder or welded ends. Each individual section of wire is held in shape by another small piece of wire wrapped around the ends – like you would safety wire motorcycle spokes together or race car bolt ends.
Purchased off ebay on 2001, it benefitted a group of African craftsmen who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to market their art.
There is no paperwork or packaging with this piece.
I have not seen anything like it since and is in excellent shape with no dents.
All that would be required to display is some detail cleaning to remove a light coat of dust.
