There’s something about an old-school chopper waiting in a back alley at sunset that feels like the beginning of a long ride west. Panhead Alley captures that moment perfectly — a lone rider about to fire up his rigid-frame Harley-Davidson chopper and disappear into the great Southwest. Maybe he’s headed for Route 66. Maybe nowhere at all.
Created entirely by hand in BOMONSTER’s signature scratchboard style, this black-and-white illustration is packed with detail, contrast, and attitude. Old school style, weathered alley walls, cracked pavement, distant desert light, and the classic “No Parking Any Time” sign all help tell the story of freedom, rebellion, and the timeless spirit of vintage motorcycle culture.
Inspired by 1960s Frisco style Harley-Davidson choppers and the raw character of historic back streets, Panhead Alley blends outlaw biker imagery with the dramatic lighting and craftsmanship that define the era. Every line is carved by hand, creating a bold high-contrast image that looks especially striking framed in a garage, office, workshop, studio, or home.
